What DBC stands for...

Designs by Coates LLC is about enhancing the interior of a building to achieve a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing environment for the people using the space.

Functionality is key to successful interior design. What is important to Ayesha is that when designing for those utilizing the space- one must apply science and psychology. Focusing on ergonomics and how one can thrive, regardless of age, ability, and circumstance.

It goes without saying that comfort is key when it comes to wellness-focused interior design. Ergonomic design is basically a fancy term for user-friendly. It entails that most of the interior design that is ‘ergonomic’ must be comfortable for the user in terms of psychology, physiology, and anatomy.

Wellness- spaces that can greatly influence our physical health, as well as our emotional state of mind. Wellness covers so many dimensions – from exercise, fitness, nutrition to joyful experiences, living in balance, healthy social connections, relaxation, mindfulness, slow living,… It also means creating and living in spaces that nourish our body and mind.

Hey You Guys!

I'm Ayesha of Designs by Coates,

Designs by Coates LLC was founded by Ayesha Coates in 2017. With over 5 years of experience designing for successful professionals, Ayesha brings her extensive knowledge, a refined eye for design, and passion for inclusive design to any space she designs.

Working most recently as a Project Interior Designer at Knotel, AutoCAD Drafter at Young Huh Interiors, and Widell and Boschetti, Ayesha has been working with renowned clients & contacts, with access to the most beautiful interiors in the most luxurious locations.

Ayesha's love for Interior design transpired when she began researching topics for her thesis presentation. Ayesha challenged herself to dig deep and really think about the type of designer she wanted to be and what she could offer to the design industry that did not already exist. She wanted to design for people who were not often considered in the design, specifically those with neurological disorders. This was a way to challenge herself creatively and produce meaningful design solutions and functionality.

Her love for space planning and designing with a purpose beyond her imagination is what brings her so much joy, simply because it is forward-thinking and dynamic and that is what she is all about.
